Implementasi Sila Kedua Pancasila Dasar Etika Kemanusiaan di Era Globalisasi
Abstract
Pancasila serves as both the foundation of the Indonesian state and a moral compass for its people. Among its five principles, the second principle "Just and Civilized Humanity" plays a crucial role in promoting universal human values such as dignity, justice, equality, and social empathy. This study aims to examine how the humanistic values embodied in the second principle of Pancasila can serve as a resilient ethical foundation in the globalization era, which presents complex moral, cultural, and technological challenges. This research applies a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature study method. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, and articles discussing the implementation of human values and the impact of globalization on national character. The findings reveal that the humanistic values in Pancasila remain highly relevant and essential in modern society. However, their effective implementation faces significant challenges due to the influx of foreign cultures, digitalization, and rising individualism, which can erode social solidarity and moral awareness. To address these challenges, a collective and multi-dimensional effort is required. This includes strengthening character education across all levels, promoting digital ethics literacy, fostering exemplary leadership, and enacting public policies that prioritize social justice. By systematically reinforcing these humanistic values in the spheres of education, societal interaction, and the digital domain, the second principle of Pancasila can function as a dynamic moral guide. This enables Indonesia to navigate global dynamics, maintain its civilized and dignified identity, and build a just, empathetic, and cohesive society amidst the relentless currents of globalization.
