Abstract

This study aims to analyze the professional and pedagogical competencies of teachers in the learning process at TK Negeri Pembina 2 Medan. The main focus in this study includes teachers' ability to design and implement learning that is in accordance with the needs of students, how the school handles teachers who experience a decline in performance or lack of discipline, and the extent to which teachers update their knowledge and skills regularly. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that teachers have shown positive efforts in adjusting learning methods according to children's characteristics, as well as playing an active role in attending training and sharing knowledge. The principal applies a humane yet firm coaching approach to teachers who experience a decline in performance. Overall, the school environment supports the improvement of teachers' competencies and professionalism, although continuous monitoring and training are still needed to ensure equitable performance development.
